City of Jackson to get Street Hockey Rink

JACKSON, Mo. (KBSI) – According to the City of Jackson the town will soon see a street hockey rink.

At the Board of Aldermen meeting, on December 2, 2024 the aldermen will consider awarding a contract to Fronabarger Concreters of Oak Ridge, Missouri in the amount of $74,100.00 for the Street Hockey Rink Concrete Project.

This project will be funded by donations through the Jackson Street Hockey group.

Once the concrete is poured, a dasher board system will be placed on the concrete pad, complete with containment fencing and players’ benches.

The location of the rink will be just east of the current skate park in the Jackson City Park.
