Community Counseling Center hosts free behavioral health conference in Cape Girardeau
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The Community Counseling Center will host a free one-day conference on behavioral health and wellness on July 23 at the Show Me Center.
The conference, open to the public, will feature nationally recognized keynote speakers, interactive breakout sessions and practical tools for supporting behavioral health.
Topics will include mental health, substance use, suicide prevention, family dynamics, resilience and overall wellness.
Keynote speakers Josh Varner and Rebekah Gregory will headline the event.
Varner, a trauma-informed speaker and mental health professional, will present “Managing the Unmanageable,” offering strategies to reduce stress and build resilience.
Gregory, a Boston Marathon bombing survivor, will share her journey of resilience in “I Wasn’t Supposed to Survive.”
