Community Counseling Center reschedules Superheroes Have a Heart for Kids luncheon for Feb. 25

JACKSON, Mo., (KBSI) — The Community Counseling Center Foundation’s 8th annual Superheroes Have a Heart for Kids Luncheon has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2025, due to forecasted winter weather.

The event will be held at the Civic Center in Jackson, with doors opening at 11:30 a.m. The luncheon aims to raise funds for the Community Counseling Center’s Children’s Services, which provides various programs and services to children and youth ages 5-18 in Cape Girardeau, Perry, Bollinger, Madison, and Ste. Genevieve counties.

In 2024, the center provided over 80,000 service hours to more than 2,400 youth across the five-county region. A recent addition to its services is a substance use disorder program for children and adolescents.

Michelle Ramsey, CCC Foundation Executive Director, said the event has seen growing attendance each year and aims to raise much-needed funds for Children’s Services.

This year’s luncheon features a mother sharing her family’s inspiring six-year journey with CCC. The event is open to the public, and superhero costumes are welcome.

Individual tickets and tables of eight are available for purchase at Bitly | bit.ly/40V1UYj or at the door on the day of the event. For more information, contact Michelle Ramsey at 573-450-4675 or email mramsey@cccntr.com.
