Community mourns Paducah Police Sergeant Ryan Hudson
PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — The City of Paducah is mourning the unexpected passing of Police Sergeant Ryan Hudson, who died Aug. 12 from complications of an underlying cardiac condition.
Hudson’s death has been classified as a line-of-duty death due to his role as a supervisor during a recent shooting incident.
The community can pay respects to Hudson by visiting his police cruiser, which is parked outside the Paducah Police Department, through Aug. 23.
Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 22, from 5-8 p.m. at Paducah Tilghman High School Gymnasium, with funeral services set for Saturday, Aug. 23, at 11 a.m. at Heartland Worship Center.
Hudson joined the Paducah Police Department in 2015 and served in various roles, including patrol officer, DARE instructor and SWAT team member. He was promoted to sergeant in May.
