Christopher E. Wallace, 52, of Lynnville, faces charges of possession of handgun(s) by a convicted felon and possession of firearm(s) by a convicted felon.

He was arrested Tuesday afternoon after Kentucky Probation and Parole Officers and Graves County Sheriff’s detectives searched his home.

Wallace was convicted in 2023 in Graves County after sheriff’s detectives identified his involvement with a large theft ring that included stolen tractors, a skid steer, semi-trailer, etc.

Some of the items had been stolen immediately after the December 2021 tornado from storm ravaged areas in Graves County, according to Graves County Sheriff Jon Hayden.

Wallace was also convicted of obscuring the identity of a machine, which involved removing the manufacturer’s serial number and replacing it with a fictitious one.

He received a suspended five-year prison sentence. Wallace legally cannot possess any firearms.

A search of his home which is south of Lynnville near the Kentucky/Tennessee line late Tuesday afternoon led to the seizure of hundreds of rounds of ammunition, numerous rifles, shotguns and handguns.

Wallace was arrested and taken to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office.

He was later taken to an out-of-county detention center.

A hold has been placed on his incarceration status by the Kentucky Department of Probation and Parole pending a hearing.
