Counterfeit $100 bills found in southern Hopkinsville Road ditches
HOPKINSVILLE, Ky., (KBSI) — Several counterfeit $100 bills were recovered by road clean-up crews Monday morning in southern Hopkinsville.
The fake bills were found in road ditches along South Sutton Lane, Hopewell Road and Oak Grove Church Road.
The sheriff’s office occasionally receives reports from local businesses about counterfeit bills being passed.
Businesses are advised to be vigilant when accepting $100 bills, as this denomination is the most commonly counterfeited US currency.
