Crews extinguish early morning fire at Marion business

MARION, Ill., (KBSI) — Part of a Marion business was destroyed by fire early Thursday morning, authorities said.
Firefighters with the Marion Fire Department and the Herrin Fire Department were dispatched at 4:08 a.m. to a fire at 1703 E. DeYoung St. Upon arrival, crews reported flames coming from the roof of a secondary structure located next to the Evrard Company Inc. business.
Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control. No injuries were reported, and all crews have since cleared the scene.
The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
