Crews respond to accident, multiple structure and vehicle fire in Ripley County

RIPLEY COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — Emergency crews responded to two major incidents over the weekend in Ripley County, including an accident that brought multiple ambulance services and medical helicopters to the scene.

The Ripley County Fire Protection District said crews responded Saturday to an accident at Float Camp. Several agencies assisted, including three ambulance services, law enforcement, the Missouri Forest Service, Air Evac and Survival Flight.

On Sunday, firefighters responded to a separate incident involving multiple structures and vehicles along Route 142 East. The Ripley County Ambulance District, Ripley County Sheriff’s Department and Missouri Department of Transportation assisted at the scene.

The fire district thanked the agencies for their help, saying the additional resources allowed crews to focus on bringing both incidents under control.
