Crews respond to commercial building fire in Murphysboro

MURPHYSBORO, Ill., (KBSI) — Multiple fire departments responded Wednesday to a commercial structure fire near 11th and Mulberry streets, directly behind the Jackson County Courthouse.
Crews were called to the scene about an hour before reports were released. Firefighters said the blaze was contained to the second floor of the building.
No injuries have been reported at this time, and several agencies remain on scene to assist with suppression and overhaul efforts.
