Crowd gathers outside Common Pleas Courthouse for pro-choice protest

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – A group of protesters gathered outside the Cape Girardeau Common Pleas Courthouse Friday evening to contest the Supreme Court’s draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade.

Several people in the crowd, which reached around 50 people, held signs and chanted pro-choice messages from the steps of the courthouse.

The draft was the Supreme Court’s first in the case and was penned by Justice Samuel Alto.
