Cuba man, juvenile face charges after found in Graves County barn

TRI-CITY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Cuba man faces burglary and other charges and charges are pending against a juvenile after a call about two suspicious people.

The Graves County Sheriff’s Office got a call about two suspicious people coming out of a barn in the 14000 block of KY 97, just south of Tri-City on Saturday, July 9 about 1:40 p.m.

Deputy John Cavin located Larry Keene, 28 of Cuba, and a male juvenile standing in the area of the barn they were reportedly seen.

Keene said he was in the area looking for arrowheads and that he had not entered the barn in question, according to the sheriff’s office.

Further investigation inside the barn revealed evidence that Keene had in fact been inside the barn and had also damaged a wall in the barn and cut several pieces of cooper pipe out of the damaged wall, according to the sheriff’s office. Evidence of the theft including tools, pieces of cut pipe and damaged cinder blocks were located inside the barn and also in an area of tall grass outside of the barn and in Keene’s vehicle.

Keene was arrested for burglary 3rd degree, criminal mischief 3rd degree and criminal trespass 3rd degree. He was taken to the Christian County Jail.

The male juvenile was released to his guardian and charges against him are pending.
