JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., (KBSI) —Delta Companies Inc. has received both statewide and national recognition for excellence in asphalt paving.
The Missouri Asphalt Pavement Association recently awarded Delta second place in its Quality Paving and Construction Awards for private and commercial asphalt projects. The award was presented during the association’s annual recognition of top-performing asphalt work across Missouri.
Delta was honored for its work on the Ford Groves parking lot project in Cape Girardeau. The project involved constructing access roads, parking surfaces and detailed handwork areas using both hot mix and warm mix asphalt.
Private and commercial paving projects often require close coordination and precise workmanship. According to MAPA, the project met the association’s standards for quality construction, performance and durability.
In addition to the state honor, the National Asphalt Pavement Association recognized Delta with multiple 2025 Quality in Construction Awards during its 71st Annual Meeting.
Delta earned national recognition for its work on Interstate 55 in Mississippi County, Arkansas. The 7.8-mile rubblizing and overlay project included four bridges and involved removing existing pavement before placing a new base, binder and surface course to create a smooth, durable driving surface.
The company was also honored for a mill and overlay project spanning nearly 19 miles of Highway 70 in Lonoke and White counties in Arkansas. The project included roadway patching, installation of aggregate base and asphalt surface courses, loop wiring, rumble strips and pavement markings. The asphalt mixes incorporated reclaimed asphalt pavement, a method designed to conserve natural resources and reduce emissions while enhancing durability.
Across the award-winning projects, Delta highlighted its focus on advanced paving techniques and sustainable practices.
“Our team takes tremendous pride in delivering projects that combine precision, skill and a commitment to long-lasting performance,” Construction Manager Cecilia Cain said in a statement regarding the state award.
“These recognitions reinforce our commitment to quality and sustainability,” Director of QA/QC Cody Cooper said in a separate statement. “From innovative techniques to responsible material use, we strive to build pavements that perform exceptionally and support long-term environmental goals.”
MAPA represents asphalt producers, contractors and suppliers statewide and promotes high-quality roadway construction through education and advocacy. NAPA represents asphalt pavement producers and paving contractors nationwide and supports research, innovation and education to advance pavement quality.
