Delta School District, Southeast Missouri State University partner on educator development

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The Delta School District is partnering with Southeast Missouri State University to provide educators with access to academic growth and professional development opportunities.

The partnership, through the SEMO Educators Advantage program, offers Delta faculty and staff a tuition discount on Southeast’s online programs, including undergraduate, graduate and paraprofessional pathways.

“We’re excited to partner with SEMO,” said David Heeb, superintendent of Delta School District. “This program gives our educators a chance to grow without having to leave home or break the bank.”

Southeast President Dr. Carlos Vargas emphasized the university’s commitment to partnerships and supporting local schools.

“We’re honored to support the development and success of educators in the Delta area,” Dr. Vargas said. “Together, we’re investing in the future of students and educators alike.”

The partnership is part of Southeast’s broader commitment to educational excellence and workforce development across the region.
