Demolition underway at former Cape Girardeau hotel site

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Crews can be seen demolishing a hotel in Cape Girardeau on Wednesday, Feb. 23.

Heavy equipment was seen at the site as workers started tearing down the structure.

City officials have not yet released additional details regarding redevelopment plans for the property.

The demolition marks the end of the building’s use as a hotel and clears the site for potential future development.
