Deputies arrest 3 for stolen items along with firearms

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI)- On April 10, 2024, at approximately 12:30 p.m. officers with the Cape Girardeau Police Department responded to the 1100-Block of Ranney Ave. in reference to a burglary.

Officers made contact with the victims that advised two males forced entry into the residence with firearms and stole items.

Around 12:26 p.m. officers observed suspect vehicle on the FLOCK camera system crossing into Illinois.

Alexander County Sheriff’s Department was immediately notified, and at approximately 1:00 p.m. Alexander County Sheriff’s Department located the vehicle near Cairo, IL.

Deputies were able to recover the stolen items along with firearms and three suspects were taken into custody pending formal charges.

At this time, all suspects have been apprehended and there is no current threat to the public regarding this incident.
