On Monday October 21 in the late evening a group of forty to fifty people gathered outside of an apartment complex on West Gladys Street.

Several shots were fired leaving one woman injured.

I spoke to a resident who has lived in the complex for two years.

When she saw the woman injured, she took her into her apartment to try and help until police arrived at the scene.

“Shoot it was like 20 plus shots,” said Caldwell.

Keshayoa Caldwell says she’s lived here at Scott Manor for two years. She was at home when she heard gunshots.

She says she saw dozens gathered outside and a woman bleeding.

“I ain’t seen them until I came outside and helped them up the stairs,” said Caldwell.
