Deputy injured in multi-vehicle crash near airport

SCOTT COUNTY, MO (KBSI) — A deputy was injured Wednesday in a crash on Interstate 55 near the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport exit.

There was a multi-vehicle crash at the 88-mile marker. Sheriff Wes Drury from Scott County says it was caused by a driver who reportedly failed to yield.

Drury confirmed it was not a high-speed chase.
