Deputy Sheriff recognized for 20 years of service
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI)- It was a fun day student and staff at Nell Holcomb School.
Student Resource Officer Deputy VanGennip was recognized at a schoolwide assembly for her 20 years as a Deputy Sheriff.
Sheriff Dickerson also presented VanGennip with a promotion from Corporal to Sergeant.
Directly after being recognized and promoted, the students, as a prize for reading an extraordinary number of books, got to throw pies at Sgt. VanGennip and the Administration of Nell Holcomb School.
