Detour planned along Purchase Parkway NB in Graves County
GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans guardrail repairs along the Purchase Parkway northbound that will require a short detour via ramps at the KY 339 Wingo Exit 14 interchange Thursday morning.
A guardrail crew plans to replace guardrail damaged by a dump truck crash earlier this week along the Purchase Parkway work zone within the KY 339 Wingo Exit 14 interchange, according to Keith Todd with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
Due to the location, traffic will be detoured off at the northbound exit ramp and back on the northbound entry ramp.
This detour for northbound traffic is expected to start at 9 a.m. and last for about two hours.
The KYTC Graves County Highway Maintenance Crew will provide traffic control to allow the guardrail crew to complete their work more quickly.
Drivers should be alert for this work zone and brief detour. Some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work.
