Dexter Fire Department retires numbers of two longtime leaders

DEXTER, Mo., (KBSI) — The Dexter Fire Department has completed two projects honoring its past and present members.

The department retired the numbers of former Chief Al Banken and former Assistant Chief Dale Rowe. They are the only two numbers retired in the department’s history.

Banken served the department for 47 years, while Rowe served for 53 years.

The department also installed a roster display recognizing its current firefighters.

Taylor’s Tins helped create the displays, and Jackson Media LLC produced a video highlighting the projects.
