Dexter, KY man dies in crash in Calloway County

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Dexter, Ky. man died in a crash in Calloway County Sunday night.

On February 19 around 8:30 p.m. it was reported that a red Dodge Ram had crashed into a tree in the 1500 blockk of McElrath Road.

Deputies tried life saving measures. However, it was determined that the driver had died.

It appears that the truck was traveling northbound on McElrath Road and left the road on the right side colliding with a tree, according to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver, 69-year-old Ricky Bunch of Dexter, had several medical issues, but it is unknown why the crash occurred, according to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office.

There were no other known vehicles associated with the crash.
