Dexter Police Department investigating a string of reports of vehicle tampering and vehicles stolen

DEXTER, Mo. (KBSI) – Dexter Police Department investigates a string of vehicle tampering and vehicles stolen.

According to the Dexter Police Department on Sunday December 15, 2024, around 5:05 am officers responded to the 700 block of Saddle Spur Road for a report of someone tampering with a vehicle.

Throughout the morning the police department says they continued to receive other reports of someone tampering with vehicles.

Vehicle tampering reports were reported in the 500 and 600 blocks of Boucher Street, 900 block of Cottonwood Lane, 1000 block of North Woodlawn Drive and the 900 block of West Grant.

A car was stolen from the 900 block of Cottonwood Lane but was later located at the 600 block of Moore Street.

A 2016 Cadillac ATS car, black in color was stolen in the 500 block of Moore Street and has not yet been located.

On Monday December 16, 2024, at 8:21 am officers took another report of vehicle tampering where a firearm was stolen.

The Dexter Police Department says this is an ongoing investigation and anyone with any information is urged to contact Dexter Police Department.
