Diesel spill reported along parkway in Marshall County

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — Emergency crews responded to a diesel fuel spill reported along the parkway, according to the Marshall County Emergency Management Agency.

Officials said the truck involved was located at the Love’s Travel Stop in Calvert City. Fuel had spilled along approximately eight miles of roadway but was not considered a slipping hazard.

Love’s personnel will handle cleanup efforts on their property, authorities said.

Agencies responding included Calvert City police and fire departments, Gilbertsville Fire Department, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and Marshall County Dispatch.
