Dino-themed SEMO Step Up for Down Syndrome set for Oct. 4 at Capaha Park

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The Heartland Down Syndrome Community Group will host its annual SEMO Step Up for Down Syndrome event Saturday, Oct. 4, at Capaha Park.
This year’s walk will feature a dinosaur theme, with activities and contests for participants. Families are encouraged to start teams in honor of loved ones with Down syndrome and raise funds to support the cause.
Organizers announced an early contest: teams that raise at least $100 by Aug. 16 will be entered into a drawing to choose this year’s official event T-shirt color.
