Discovery Playhouse throws birthday party for Taylor Swift
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – “I am a mom of three daughters, and we’re all Swift fans.”
So, Christa Weber and her daughters threw a birthday party at Discovery Playhouse for their favorite singer, and they are harnessing Swift’s giving spirit by donating canned goods to the Saint Mary Cathedral Food Pantry.
“One of the biggest things I love about Taylor Swift is she’s always giving back to communities, and one of the ways she does that is at her Eras Tour concert cities, she always gives a donation to the food banks, and so I thought, ‘how could we do that in Cape Girardeau?’” she said.
From karaoke to friendship bracelets to temporary tattoos with Swift’s favorite number 13, Swifties got to celebrate the icon’s 34th birthday in style.
A few Swift fans shared what they like most about her.
“She’s really talented, she’s really fun, and she’s really beautiful,” Ivy Patrick said.
“She’s really kind, pretty, and she wouldn’t break anybody’s heart,” Farrah McCutchen said.
“She is amazing at what she does, and me and my mom are just really big fans,” Paysleigh Oguie said.
“Me and my mom are really big fans, and we really love her, and we listen to her most of the day,” Ramsey Small said.
Weber said 111 people registered for the party.
