Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library making its way to Kentucky

KENTUCKY, (KBSI) – Kentucky governor Andy Breshear announced that Dolly Parton’s imagination library is making its way to every child’s home in the state of Kentucky.

In an update to the press today Breshear says that any parent can enroll a child up to five years old to have a book delivered to their doorstep to allow their imagination to run like wild horses.

Breshear says “on Tuesday, welcoming country music icon, Dolly Parton, to Kentucky as we celebrated the state wide expansion of the imagination library now every single Kentucky child can receive one free book per month in the mail from birth to age 5 that is at no cost thanks to Dolly’s generosity as well as the general assembly for stepping up and helping to fund this program.”

Dolly’s Imagination Library in Kentucky will stretch to all 120 counties, this is due to their dollar match funding from the Kentucky State Legislators. The money is raised 50% by community programs and then the state matches 50% of the money raised.
