Dorena-Hickman Ferry reopens after dredging

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) – The Dorena-Hickman Ferry reopened Thursday after being closed since Aug. 23 for dredging in the harbor.

The ferry is running on its summer schedule, with the last trip from Kentucky at 6:15 p.m. and the final trip from Missouri at 6:30 p.m. The ferry accepts cash only.

Motorists can check the ferry’s operating status by calling 731-693-0210 or visiting the Dorena-Hickman Ferry Facebook page.

The ferry connects Kentucky 1354 at Hickman, Kentucky, with Missouri Routes A and 77 near Dorena, Missouri.
