Dorena-Hickman Ferry reopens after low-water closure

HICKMAN, Ky., (KBSI) — The Dorena-Hickman Ferry, which connects Hickman, Kentucky, and Dorena, Missouri, reopened Monday after being closed for more than two weeks because of low water levels.
The ferry resumed service Dec. 22 and is operating on its winter schedule. The final departure from the Kentucky side is at 4:15 p.m., while the last run from Missouri leaves at 4:30 p.m.
The ferry had been closed since Dec. 4. Officials note that the Dorena-Hickman Ferry accepts cash only.
