Driver arrested on DUI, wanton endangerment charges after McCracken County crash

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — A Kevil man was arrested after a two-vehicle crash Wednesday night that sent one person to the hospital.
McCracken County sheriff’s deputies responded around 10:07 p.m. Sept. 23 to Benton Road and Oaks Road.
According to the sheriff’s office, Caleb Henry of Kevil was driving a 2020 Ford F-150 east on Benton Road when his vehicle collided with a 2010 Chrysler Town & Country driven by Leroy Ferguson of Paducah. Deputies said Ferguson was attempting to turn left onto Oaks Road when the crash occurred.
Leanne Gibbs of Paducah, one of three passengers in Ferguson’s vehicle, was taken to a local hospital with non-incapacitating injuries. Two juvenile passengers were not injured.
Deputies said their investigation determined Henry was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.
Henry faces charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol under aggravated circumstances, four counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and having no registration plates.
The Reidland-Farley Fire Department, Mercy Regional EMS and Bailey’s Towing assisted at the scene.
The charges are accusations, and Henry is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
