Driver extricated after 2-vehicle crash on I-55

PORTAGEVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — Portageville Rescue responded to a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 55 near the 36-mile marker Sunday around 10 p.m.

Crews extricated the driver of a Ford truck, who had moderate injuries, after it rear-ended another vehicle. The driver was transported to a hospital by New Madrid County Ambulance.

The other driver was uninjured. Crews assisted with cleanup and traffic control before clearing the scene.
