WEAKLEY COUNTY, Tenn. (KBSI) – It is harvest season. Weakley County Sheriff’s deputies warn drivers to be vigilant when sharing the roadway with farm equipment.

Drivers will encounter large combines, tractors and other farm equipment on the road over the next few months.

Sheriff’s deputies say it is sometimes difficult for equipment operators to see vehicles behind these large pieces of equipment.

Drivers are urged to keep themselves and others safe by giving farm equipment plenty of room to operate and be patient when following them.

Most farm equipment has a max speed of 25-35 miles per hour.
