Drug investigation leads to arrest in Mayfield

MAYFIELD, Ky. (KBSI) — A Graves County man was arrested early Thursday morning following a drug investigation and search at a Mayfield apartment, according to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies executed a search warrant around 4 a.m. at an apartment located at 406 North 2nd Street after receiving information about possible illegal drug activity at the residence.

Inside, deputies located Leonard D. Starks, 63, along with methamphetamine, marijuana, syringes containing meth residue, smoking pipes, and other drug-related items.

Starks was already out on bond for pending charges that included possession of methamphetamine, bail jumping, and criminal mischief to rental property, among others.

He was arrested again and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and additional offenses. Starks was transported and lodged at an out-of-county detention center.

The Mayfield Police Department assisted in the search.
