DUNKLIN COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — The Dunklin County Sheriff’s Office reported significant results from ongoing drug enforcement efforts conducted in partnership with the Southeast Missouri Drug Task Force.
Sheriff Nick Darter said a Dunklin County deputy assigned to the task force, working alongside other officers, has conducted extensive investigations over the past 11 months aimed at combating illegal drug activity and protecting public safety. Some of the investigations lasted several months, while others spanned years, officials said.
According to the sheriff’s office, the enforcement efforts resulted in the seizure of more than 7,000 grams of methamphetamine; more than 400 grams of synthetic cannabinoids, commonly known as K-2; more than 300 grams of chemicals used in the production of K-2; more than 1,000 grams of marijuana; and a combined 2 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine.
Authorities also seized four firearms and one full-auto conversion device. In addition, 12 arrests were made through federal indictments, and multiple search warrants were executed within Dunklin County.
“These results reflect our unwavering commitment to protecting Dunklin County from the devastating effects of illegal drugs,” Darter said. “We will continue working closely with our law enforcement partners to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents.”
