E-bike rider seriously injured in crash with patrol vehicle in Kennett

KENNETT, Mo., (KBSI) — A 47-year-old man was seriously injured Thursday when his electric bicycle collided with a patrol vehicle in Kennett.
The crash happened around 2:21 p.m. at Floyd Street and Compress Road, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The patrol said the e-bike rider failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the path of a southbound 2026 Dodge Durango patrol vehicle.
The Kennett man was flown by Survival Flight to Regional One Health in Memphis. The patrol report indicates he was not using a safety device.
The patrol vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. Its 46-year-old driver, from Poplar Bluff, was not reported injured.
The e-bike was totaled.
