Early-morning fire damages home in Madison County

MADISON COUNTY, Ill., (KBSI) — Madison County Fire Rescue responded early Wednesday to a residential structure fire in the northeast part of the county.

Crews were dispatched around 2 a.m. to the District 3 area, where they arrived to find heavy fire coming from a home. Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control, and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Officials thanked responding crews for their work and asked the community to keep the affected family in their thoughts.
