Egyptian Building Trades hosts annual Coats for Kids golf event

WEST FRANKFORT, Ill., (KBSI) — The Egyptian Building and Construction Trades Council is hosting its annual Coats for Kids Golf Scramble on Monday to raise money for school children in Southern Illinois.

The event, in its 34th year, has raised over $654,897 to provide coats and clothing to more than 12,317 children.

Registration for the scramble begins at 7 a.m. at the Franklin County Country Club. Tax-deductible contributions can be made by calling (618) 438-9711.

The program is administered by three regional superintendents of schools, who distribute funds and cover administrative costs.
