Event in Daisy to benefit Alzheimer’s Association

DAISY, Mo. (KBSI) – A business owner in Daisy is preparing to host a special event to help raise awareness and money for those struggling with Alzheimer’s disease.

Every 67 seconds someone in America develops Alzheimer’s, according to Alzheimer’s Association.

There is currently no cure. It affects millions of people.

On August 26, Sarah Kellogg, owner of the Daisy Art House, will host an event to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.

It will be from 5-8 p.m. at the Daisy Art House located at 164 W Daisy Street in Daisy, Mo.

“Daisy Art House is going to be open for you to come and do art projects here,” said Kellogg. “There’s also going to be Christmas at grandma’s house open. It never opens before the end of the year. So it’s going be open with some great deals in there as well, and then the vendors are going to be outside.”

All proceeds of this event will go to the Alzheimer’s Association. The 2023 Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be October 21 at 9 a.m. at Cape County North Park located at 2400 Country Park Drive in Cape Girardeau.
