Family traditions continue at SEMO District Fair
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The SEMO District Fair has been around for 167 years. That’s a whole lot of tradition and memories for families as well as vendors.
Todd Koch with the Trinity Lutheran Men’s Club says he worked the fair as a kid and now his kids are as well.
“For my dad and uncles, I worked out here whenever I was his age and I have worked out here for 10 or 12 years, and now bringing him out to work just to see what goes on and all the money is raised. We donate it back to the church and the school,” said Koch.
The Trinity Lutheran Men’s Club has been meeting since 1917.
The SEMO District Fair runs through Sept. 17 at Arena Park in Cape Girardeau. Tap here for more information about the fair.
