Farmington man facing burglary, stealing charges in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – A Farmington man faces burglary and stealing charges in Cape Girardeau after police say he forced his way into a business two different times and stole money.
Nathan Wright, 44, faces a class D felony of receiving stolen property, two counts of class D felony of burglary in the second degree and two counts of class A misdemeanor of stealing.
Officers with the Cape Girardeau Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Maria Louise and Kiwanis Drive in August 1 around 10:20 p.m.
They say Wright was a suspect in two recent commercial burglaries in Cape Girardeau.
Police say on July 19 about 11:30 p.m. Wright forced his way into a business in the 300 block of S. Spanish and stole approximately $290 from the business.
On July 29, at about 4:47 a.m. police say Wright forced his way into the same business again in the 300-block of S. Spanish and stole approximately $80 from the business.
Wright was arrested and formally charged through the Cape Girardeau County Prosecutor’s Office.
He is being held on a $20,000 cash only bond.
