Fire causes extensive damage to home in Scott County
SIKESTON, Mo. (KBSI) – Emergency crews battled a house fire in Sikeston Wednesday afternoon.
The Sikeston Department of Public Safety Fire Division responded to the 3300 block of State Highway BB for a structure fire around 2 p.m. on March 13.
The first arriving units to the fire encountered heavy flames and smoke at the home.
Fire Division Personnel was able to put out the fire but due to the quick spread and heavy flames there was extensive damage to the home.
Sikeston DPS personnel thanked Scott County Rural Fire Protection District and Morehouse Fire Department for their assistance.
The South Scott County Ambulance District was on standby to provide medical attention if needed and provided the photographs.
