Firefighters contain commercial blaze in north Madison County

MADISON COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — Madison County fire crews extinguished a commercial structure fire Sunday evening in the northern part of the county.

Fire units were dispatched around 7:45 p.m. and arrived to find smoke and flames inside the building. Officials said the fire involved high-voltage equipment, requiring the use of specialized foam agents to safely extinguish it.

The blaze was brought under control within an hour, and crews remained on scene for about another hour to ensure the fire was fully out and to conduct overhaul operations.

No injuries were reported.
