Firefighters extinguish Cape Girardeau house fire
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Firefighters quickly contained and extinguished a residential structure fire Monday evening at 1507 Amblewood Drive.
The Cape Girardeau Fire Department responded to the scene at 8:01 p.m. and reported smoke showing from the roof and inside the structure.
After extinguishing the main fire, crews performed extensive overhaul work to eliminate hot spots in the attic area.
The fire’s origin and cause remain under investigation by the Cape Girardeau Fire Department. No injuries were reported, and firefighters were on the scene for approximately two hours.
