Firefighters respond to house fire in Williamson County

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill., (KBSI) — Firefighters responded to a house fire along Followell Drive in Williamson County, north of Marion.

The home, which was occupied at the time of the fire, suffered extensive damage. Crews from the Williamson County Fire Protection District and Marion Fire Department were on scene.

One firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation, and another person was treated for minor injuries. Authorities advised the public to avoid the area and let crew’s work.
