First ever Sikeston Hot Air Balloon Festival set for June 16-18

SIKESTON, Mo. (KBSI) – Sikeston will be adding some more fun for summer with their first ever Sikeston Hot Air Balloon Festival.  

The event will feature hot air balloons from Skycab Balloon Promotions Inc.  

 There will be over 90 vendors for food, arts and crafts along with live music.  

Sikeston Rotary Club Member Hali Kaminsky says this event is important to have to help to boost tourism in the area.  

It’s really important for Sikeston because it will definitely boost our tourism helping small businesses and generating new revenue streams similar to the rodeo so I think it could be if it keeps going as big as the rodeo and it would be a really great thing for Sikeston,” said Kaminsky. 

The event will be June 16–18.
