First Friday Coffee to focus on workforce development in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce will host its next First Friday Coffee event focused on workforce development and talent initiatives.

The event will highlight organizations working in alternative education and workforce development, including Community Partnership of Southeast Missouri, Adult & Teen Challenge Mid-America, MERS Missouri Goodwill Industries and Jobs for America’s Graduates.

Southeast Missouri State University President Dr. Hodson is also expected to present a certificate of appreciation to the local business community following Cape Girardeau’s recognition by USA Today as a top college town.

The event is sponsored by Bug Zero Southeast Missouri, Montgomery Bank and Cape Catfish.
