First responders responding to reported brush fire on I-64 near Okawville

OKAWVILLE, Ill., (KBSI) — First responders are en route to a possible brush fire along Interstate 64 westbound near the 40-mile marker, close to the Okawville exit, according to local emergency officials.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and allow emergency crews room to work.

Traffic delays are expected, and drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes until the scene is cleared.
