Five schools in Marshall County, Ky., sustain frozen pipes

No school for students on Jan. 4; district will have follow-up announcement on Jan. 3

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – As a result of the damage caused by frozen pipes in the sprinkler systems at 5 of our schools, we are in the process of making the needed repairs and thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the schools.

It will take some time to complete that process. As a result, the Marshall County School District will not be able to return to in person classes on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023.

All staff are expected to report for a regular work day, and the district will be making a decision for the remainder of the week sometime on Tuesday, Jan. 3.
