Former Anna police officer faces domestic battery charges
ANNA, Ill., (KBSI) — A former Anna Police Department officer faces multiple domestic battery charges after turning himself in Monday.
John Adam Tripp, 42, was charged with one felony count of aggravated domestic battery and two misdemeanor counts of domestic battery, according to the Union County Sheriff’s Office.
A judge approved Tripp’s release under strict pretrial conditions, including prohibiting him from possessing firearms and consuming alcohol or illegal drugs.
Tripp is no longer serving as an officer with the Anna Police Department.
The Union and Pulaski County Crime Victims’ Advocate Offices have provided victim support services, Sheriff David Wilkins said.
