Four arrested in connection with copper theft investigation
PIEDMONT, Mo., (KBSI) — An investigation into the theft of copper from the Chip Mill in Mill Spring led to the arrest of four individuals, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Logan Hicks was taken into custody on active warrants and charged with stealing $750 or more.
The investigation, which began Feb. 4, resulted in the execution of three search warrants and the arrest of Misty Iler, Mary Runk, Saundra Peppers and John Cox.
Iler faces charges of delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Runk faces charges of delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and eight counts of unlawful use of a weapon, in addition to being arrested on active warrants.
Peppers is charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Cox is charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
The accused individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
