Four arrests made in connection to threat on Caruthersville school district

CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo. (KBSI) – The Caruthersville Police Department says they have made four arrests in connection with a recent school threat.

The Department shares they have recently made arrests regarding the threats that were made to the Caruthersville Schools.

They have also located important information into the latest threat and have tracked down important information about the latest post, including where the post was generated at, that they believe will be useful in making an arrest on the person responsible for that threat as well.

The Caruthersville Police Department posted on their Facebook page that “This is not a game” they go on to say “You should know and beware that if you think making threats is a game or something that you can hide and get away with, you are wrong. We will investigate these threats and do everything within our power to file charges that will follow you the rest of your adult life. This IS NOT A GAME. You will be caught, charged and expelled from school. These types of threats fall under terroristic threat laws and have severe consequences.”

The Caruthersville Police Department say they are working closely with the Caruthersville school district to ensure the safety of students.

They say parents can expect increased law enforcement at the school at this time.
